Fast track to Robotic Process Automation

One day workshop for RPA

One day workshop for RPA

Why need this technology

RPA is everwhere.

Are you eager to improve the company’s operating efficiency, reduce the chance of human errors, and at the same time continue to reduce operating costs? Robotic Process Automation (RPA) refers to the use of computer software to replace human to perform daily repetitive tasks, which can greatly reduce errors and improve work efficiency.

RPA is an important part of Industry 4.0, which can reduce the operation costs by 30% comparing with human. You only need to program the computer and it can perform repetitive tasks for you. At present, RPA has become popular overseas such as Japan, the United States, Taiwan and other places. Enterprises have adopted RPA to replace paperwork that originally required manual execution. The released human resources can be used for more productive or creative work!

Pain Points We Solved

The more the company’s income, the busier the employees? How can we reduce the chance for employees to make mistakes? How can we reduce the cost of training employees? Can employees put in more creative work? Robotic Process Automation (RPA) can help you quickly process company electronic documents, reply to emails, fill in forms, data entry and consolidation, and even data transfer between different software, such as ERP. In the past, these tasks had to be performed manually by employees, but they often made mistakes and the labor costs were very high.

Some Hong Kong companies have attempted to introduce RPA technology in order to reduce operating costs. However, the cost of RPA implementation by external IT vendors is high and the adaptability of RPA is in question. This RPA course teaches how to introduce RPA into enterprises so that enterprises can master RPA technology themselves, implement RPA digital transformation according to their own pacing. Eventually replace repetitive tasks performed by humans, release valuable human resources, and engage in more creative work.

Programme Highlights

Paper-based tasks is gradually being replaced by digital processes. In particular, RPA has demonstrated its advantages in simple, non-decision-making processes. Standardized and repetitive processes are prime candidates for automation, where software bots learn and perform procedures across applications and environments. RPA automates repetitive, labor-intensive, and time-consuming tasks, minimizing or eliminating human involvement to drive faster, more efficient and cost-effective processes. Industries most suited for RPA include banking, finance, logistics and manufacturing.

Through this course, learners will be immersed in an RPA in operation environment for an intensive 6-hour duration to understand the basics of the technology and relevant software, design workflow and take RPA to practice. Learners will be able to master relevant programming and techniques for future application in their work.

While most people have heard of RPA, few people knows what it entails and how it can be applied in their industry. Through this module, learners will be introduced to the background and functions of RPA, in particular, its benefits for real companies by driving productivity and improving cost-effectiveness.

Module content:
• What is an RPA?
• RPA development history and trends
• The role and function of RPA
• How can RPA benefit your company?
• Demonstration RPA
• Case Study: RPA in action
• UiPath Setup and Basic function

Module 2: RPA in practice

Learning hours: 1 lesson, 3 hours in total

We all know “action speaks louder than words”. Having understood the basics on RPA, it is time to take it to practice to build our first RPA workflow with UiPath and gain experience in all relevant processes. After completing this module, learners will be able to apply RPA to suitable digital processes in their workplace.

Module content:
• Concept of Attended Robot & Unattended Robot
• Build your first RPA workflow by using UiPath
• RPA Practice #1: Web Scrapping – Mouse and Keyboard Activities
• RPA Practice #2: Data transfer by RPA between software
• Discussion: How can RPA reduce repeated work and increase productivity?

Outcomes

Reducing operating costs

Student can analyze the company’s workflows that can be automated, thereby reducing operating costs.

Write RPA process robots

Students can write RPA process robots according to their own company needs

In the past, we have also used human hands to arrange the on-duty lists for hundreds of workers in our logistics warehouse. That work is very repetitive and errors often occur! Since taking the RPA course, colleagues in the IT department helped to implement the RPA process according to our needs, eventually reducing costs by 30%, and making the entire logistics warehouse work smoother! “

Quick and Save! Insurance companies uses RPA to improve customer service efficiency and save up to 50% of operation cost!

The customer service department of an global insurance company has a heavy workload. In addition to handling customer inquiries on the phone, it also has to reply to lots of emails within a specified time. In order to improve the work efficiency of employees, the insurance company decided to introduce RPA to automate some repetitive processes, such as replying to emails and filling in the content of the customer system.

In order to be able to successfully introduce RPA technology, the company decided to let the customer service supervisor enroll in TOF’s RPA course. The instructor personally went to the insurance company to teach RPA technology, teaching and demonstrating according to their actual work needs.

After the course, they not only learned to analyze the current work process in the course, but also learned to teach their own RPA robots to assist in daily paperwork. Save the cost of responding to customers up to 50%! Employees can then participate in other tasks that are more valuable to the company.
