Robotic Processing Automation Program

Building a Robotic Processing Automation Program Team

“As soon as I saw the RPA demo, I realized two things: first that’s going to change everything, and second, there were so many ways that RPA could help our company. ”Shane Jason Mock – VP of Research and Development, American Fidelity

Why need this technology

RPA is everwhere.

Are you eager to improve the company’s operating efficiency, reduce the chance of human errors, and at the same time continue to reduce operating costs? Robotic Process Automation (RPA) refers to the use of computer software to replace human to perform daily repetitive tasks, which can greatly reduce errors and improve work efficiency.

RPA is an important part of Industry 4.0, which can reduce the operation costs by 30% comparing with human. You only need to program the computer and it can perform repetitive tasks for you. At present, RPA has become popular overseas such as Japan, the United States, Taiwan and other places. Enterprises have adopted RPA to replace paperwork that originally required manual execution. The released human resources can be used for more productive or creative work!

Pain Points We Solved

The more the company’s income, the busier the employees? How can we reduce the chance for employees to make mistakes? How can we reduce the cost of training employees? Can employees put in more creative work? Robotic Process Automation (RPA) can help you quickly process company electronic documents, reply to emails, fill in forms, data entry and consolidation, and even data transfer between different software, such as ERP. In the past, these tasks had to be performed manually by employees, but they often made mistakes and the labor costs were very high.

Some Hong Kong companies have attempted to introduce RPA technology in order to reduce operating costs. However, the cost of RPA implementation by external IT vendors is high and the adaptability of RPA is in question. This RPA course teaches how to introduce RPA into enterprises so that enterprises can master RPA technology themselves, implement RPA digital transformation according to their own pacing. Eventually replace repetitive tasks performed by humans, release valuable human resources, and engage in more creative work.

Programme Highlights

The instructor of this RPA course will teach the power of RPA, allowing employees of the company to use computer programs to simulate human hands to perform processes that are highly repetitive and error-free. Even if the company’s employees are not IT personnel and people who have no basic programming operations can use and learn. The course will be taught by RPA experts and will focus on UiPath, the most comprehensive and most popular RPA software on the market.

This course is consist of 3 modules with both theory and practice. The teaching mode of the course is mainly face-to-face instruction by the instructor, with online technical assistance. There are also real-time practical exercises in the class to ensure that students can master the knowledge and skills of RPA!

• What is an RPA?
• RPA development history and trends
• RPA investment value and return
• The role and function of RPA
• Demonstration RPA
• RPA real application cases
• Things to pay attention to when conducting RPA in a company
• Common mistakes in implementing RPA automation process
• Currently popular RPA tools or software
• Discussion: Is my company suitable for RPA?
• Discussion: Which process is suitable to be replaced by RPA?

Module 2: RPA business analysis

Learning hours: 2 lessons, 6 hours in total

This module is designed for managers who want to analyze and evaluate RPA projects. The course will explain the basics of RPA and related tools, but will focus on the role of Business Analyst, including how to evaluate RPA projects. ROI, identify opportunities for RPA, measure effectiveness, test, analyze data, calculate benefits, etc.

Module content:

At the end of this unit, students will be able to understand the architecture and main functions of the UiPath RPA tool. At the same time, students understand the role of RPA business analysts and track RPA processes.

Module 3: Basic RPA Robot Programming

Learning Hours: 4 lesson, 12 hours in total

This module mainly teaches how to use UiPath, the most comprehensive RPA software at present, to design an automated program. Instructor will lead students to download, install and initially design the UiPath software on the computer, and will also introduce the most commonly used RPA functions. UiPath uses diagrams, flowcharts, and Drag & Drop options to define automated processes. Students do not need to have programming knowledge, and they can follow the instructor’s explanations to compile RPA robots suitable for their own enterprises.

Module content:
• Introduce different authorization modes and functions of RPA software
• Attended Robot & Unattended Robot
• Introduce the most commonly used functions of UiPath
• Prepare the plan before the RPA process according to the needs of the student company

• Release and implement RPA Robot
• Deploy and continuously monitor RPA Robot
• Instructor demonstration, more than 5 cases

Practices in class
• Image and Text Automation
• Mouse and Keyboard Activities
• Auto filling form
• Data transfer between software

After completing this module, students will have a better understanding of RPA software, and at the same time, they can make their own RPA programs that can help the company reduce manpower costs.

Outcomes

Reducing operating costs

Student can analyze the company’s workflows that can be automated, thereby reducing operating costs.

Write RPA process robots

Students can write RPA process robots according to their own company needs

In the past, we have also used human hands to arrange the on-duty lists for hundreds of workers in our logistics warehouse. That work is very repetitive and errors often occur! Since taking the RPA course, colleagues in the IT department helped to implement the RPA process according to our needs, eventually reducing costs by 30%, and making the entire logistics warehouse work smoother! “

Quick and Save! Insurance companies uses RPA to improve customer service efficiency and save up to 50% of operation cost!

The customer service department of an global insurance company has a heavy workload. In addition to handling customer inquiries on the phone, it also has to reply to lots of emails within a specified time. In order to improve the work efficiency of employees, the insurance company decided to introduce RPA to automate some repetitive processes, such as replying to emails and filling in the content of the customer system.

In order to be able to successfully introduce RPA technology, the company decided to let the customer service supervisor enroll in TOF’s RPA course. The instructor personally went to the insurance company to teach RPA technology, teaching and demonstrating according to their actual work needs.

After the course, they not only learned to analyze the current work process in the course, but also learned to teach their own RPA robots to assist in daily paperwork. Save the cost of responding to customers up to 50%! Employees can then participate in other tasks that are more valuable to the company.
