UI UX Digital Project Management

Building a UI UX Digital Project Management Team

“If you think good design is expensive, you should look at the cost of bad design.”

What makes this necessary

UI UX is everywhere.

In a study carried out by the Design Management Institute has proven that UX design-led companies like: “Mercedes Benz, Starbucks, Google and Alibaba” are reported to have 50% more loyal customers and also outperform their competitors that ignores UX design by 228%.

Since UI and UX Development largely focus on users’ satisfaction and pleasure, it plays an important role in the business’ success.

From a business’s point of view, it is essential to emphasize on the users’ satisfaction in order to build the brand value and reputation of the business. With IT being the competitive field, the need of UI UX design service to grab the consumers’ attention and revenue from the company’s products is quite crucial. If the users are surfing your websites or using your applications.

Obstacles overcome

One of the biggest difficulties in product development is feature overload; it’s no surprise that every business owners want to develop a perfect mobile application with features that resolves all possible business obstacles.

But as more business problem arises during the development process, the digital device will be piled up with too much features for the mobile application to handle.

With UX design we could manage the expectation of business owner, by providing them a detailed feature list to help them understand the digital product’s limitation and possible future potentials. So we could avoid the problem of feature overload.

A real case study : UX UI digital project management

I have participated in one of the most successful telecommunication mobile application UX UI development in the Hong Kong market. Not only does it provide support in data communication,

it also provides other business plans such as; games, music, travel, sports and media. Despite the outcome of the project, the project was originally far from deliverable.

The requirement & design process was a complete mess, people are clueless about their role and responsible within the project before the UX UI digital project management has been applied to the project. A rigid structure has been set for everybody regarding the deliverables.

Where product owner has to provide detailed information regarding their expectation towards the visual outcome of the project; on the other hand designers and business analyst are there to visualize and review about its development possibility.

So that everybody are synchronized in terms of the project expectation and its outcome. The results of the digital project management could easily be observed by the management, when the project is capable of delivering in its expected due date.
